Anthropic launches Claude Opus 5, near-frontier intelligence at roughly half the cost per task. It matches Fable 5 within 0.5% on CursorBench at half cost, beats Fable 5 on OSWorld at just over one-third cost, and scores 3x higher on ARC-AGI 3. Priced same as Opus 4.8, now default for Claude Max.
